A: No, MDI dental implants are placed with local anesthetic.


Q: Will I have pain after MDI mini implant placement?

A: Unlike full-size Implants, MDI mini implants are usually placed without making an incision on the gum. Minimal discomfort could be felt, if any. Over-the-counter pain relieves are usually adequate.

Q: How long does the procedure take?

A: MDI mini implants can be placed and your denture fitted for attachments in about 11/2 – 2 hours. Unlike full-size implants, you do not have to wait 3-6 months until implants sites are healed to restore your dentures. However, keep in mind each patient is different and treatment plans may vary.

Q: How long will MDI Mini Dental Implants last?

A: Can last as long as full-size implants if cared for properly. Regular visits are recommended for long-term success.

Q: What happens if an MDI implant fails?

A: The dentist may choose to place another MDI implant in another site.

Q: Are MDI mini dental implants covered by insurance?
